This is the environment we want to nurture and protect, and we do so by keeping the added value we create with our employees. Instead of funding skyrocketing managerial bonuses and excesses for unknown shareholders, we invest in our people. Every year, after a carefully formed reinvestment plan, we dedicate a large amount to research and development of both our products and our employees. What remains is then distributed among the employees, who spend it to provide a good life for their families and communities.

Rational, efficient,
and sustainable solutions

Receiving a solution from us is not a one-and-done deal, nor would we want it to be. Before we can have sensible consumption, we must have sensible production. This is why our solutions are built to last—whether they are software pushing around trillions of data points or assembly lines creating millions of products. We are proud to say that some of our customers are still using INEA’s solutions from over twenty years ago—we don’t try and sell a shiny new polish every year, but rather maintain and upgrade our solution with the evolving needs of our customers.

We put a lot of effort into repairability and modularity. Our lines can be adapted to fit any number of products, often by just replacing the tools, but keeping the frame intact. Should the need arise, many parts can be easily disassembled for maintenance. The same goes for our software. We either use industry standard software platforms with large support teams behind them or open-source elements that can be modified down to the core functionalities.

Impactful, beneficial,
and sustainable outcomes

We design for performance without compromising on efficiency. This efficiency extends far beyond the energy use of the solutions themselves, but also of the materials that go through them. Our assembly lines are created with packaging in mind, so if an item can be transported in a reusable tray instead of a single-use wrapper, this is the approach we will take. Quality control at every step ensures that if a product doesn’t meet specific quality standards, it will be removed and reassembled. This reduces the amount of total scrap generated, since additional components are not wasted on assembling a faulty part further.

It has been a long-standing outlook to work with industries that contribute to environmental protection. In recent years, more than 80% of our revenue on average came from solutions that benefit the environment. This means working with customers who are committed to sustainability as well—clean air solutions for exhaust gas filtering, production of hydrogen fuel cells whose only byproduct is water, and recycling of rare earth metals, to name just a few.

A crucial part of being socially responsible is not leaving anyone behind, instead helping people get ahead. The work environment at INEA is inclusive and diverse to reflect the needs and experiences of all members of society through a comprehensive gender equality plan.

Our internal rules and regulations are written to be completely gender-neutral, down to standardised salary ranges for all job positions, eliminating any gap between equally qualified and experienced colleagues. Beyond that, women in leadership positions at INEA represent a larger percent than the total female employee percentage. This reflects purely on their individual merit and demonstrated skill, since we do not discriminate in either direction.

Our team is nationally diverse as well—hailing from several countries around Europe, we have a work climate that is open and friendly to anyone who wants to join us, regardless of who they are and where they come from.

Healthy, clean,
and sustainable environment

Depending on the methodology, the industry is responsible for anywhere between 20 and 40 percent of humanity’s greenhouse gas emissions. It is therefore our social and moral responsibility as a part of the industrial supply chain to prevent or mitigate any amount of environmental damage that we can influence. We start at creating sustainable solutions for our customers, and we continue by helping them be environmentally friendly as well.

We are ISO 50001 certified, meaning that we have an energy management system and an energy policy in place to make sure we minimize our own impact. Despite representing a small part of the supply chain’s total footprint, we contribute by choosing responsible suppliers, using sustainable energy sources and being mindful of our own consumption. We also aim to keep our travel footprint as low as possible, with remote commissioning and reduced number of people on site.
