When transferring data over public internet connections, inGenious View ensures a high level of security using VPN (Virtual Private Network) technology. This technology employs robust encryption and authentication methods, such as SSL/TLS and IPSec ESP, to protect against various types of attacks. The ability to establish multiple VPN connections (tunnels) allows for secure communication between different endpoints, with each connection protected by secure certificates. This approach ensures that data remains safe and protected even when transmitted to remote locations or mobile devices.
inGenious View enables connections with various meters, electric meters, and devices through a wide range of analog signals and communication protocols. Physical quantity meters are integrated into the system using analog signals such as 4-20 mA or 0-10V, and protocols like Modbus, Profibus, and CAN. Smart electric meters connect via communication channels such as DLMS/COSEM, Modbus, M-Bus, and LoRa, with options for wired (Ethernet, DSL, fiber) or wireless (WiFi, 4G, LoRa) connections. inGenious View also supports IEC 60870-5-101 and 104, and the IEC 61850 Client gateway to the IEC 60870-5-104 Slave protocol.
Additionally, for specific cases, we can develop custom communication plugins to connect with older meters that operate using pulse signals.

All functionalities of inGenious View are included in inGenious Peak for peak shaving and inGenious Flex for active demand response in industrial settings, both of which provide various levels of device control in addition to monitoring. Users can decide to upgrade to inGenious Peak or Flex at any time, and a pre-upgrade analysis of potential flexibility and impact is always conducted. Utilizing the data captured by the existing inGenious View makes this analysis faster and more accurate before upgrading to inGenious Peak or Flex.
